Sandy Hill

Sandy Hill community centre last night. Surprisingly there were only 30 something people showed up, even Dan prepared yummy fresh watermelon and the model Lilly did a wonderful poses.... These are either 20 min or 30 min works with soft colour pencils and charcoal pencils. I retouched a bit after I came back for blue paper ones.

Sculpting skulls

 To understand human anatomy better, decided to sculpt skull. My first try was with FIMO clay with mini head. And tried bigger one this afternoon. Wow, it's fun but tiring!!!

It's been a long time since i went to the sketching club last time... Here are some works that I have done on Friday. I'm taking a 7 day figure drawing workshop now, and will post the end-product next week....

2 hour sculpture challenge...

I want to make a doll, so I tried to sculpt a head. This is my first attempt... used air dry clay and about 3" tall. I'll use photo reference next time for better anatomy and realism...

2012 first figure works...

I had been stuck in a deep hole. It seemed like bottomless, but it wasn't. I feel my artie mood back these days. I started new pottery projects and went to figure drawing today. Got some white figurines for painting practice. Hope this year is good to me...
